About this project
Verome-API is a high-performance music API written in TypeScript on Deno. It reverse-engineers the internal YouTube Music and YouTube APIs — no official SDK, no API key required — to expose a unified, streamable interface for searching tracks, resolving audio streams, and hydrating metadata from Last.fm.
The project is my most-starred repository (200+ stars). It's designed for production use with clean routing, edge-friendly deployment on Cloudflare Workers, and a focus on low-latency streaming. The reverse-engineering layer intercepts and replicates the private client requests YouTube Music uses internally, making it resilient to surface-level API changes.
